Traditional pig ark

A warm welcome to our website. If you are looking to buy an ark you have come to the right place! Our webpage is very easy to use, just scroll down to find the information you need.

There are no hidden extras - the price you see is the price you pay.  Our prices include VAT and free delivery in England and Wales. We believe our arks are the best value for money and that is the reason we publish our  prices in our advertisements in the smallholding magazines.  This lets customers know in advance the total price they are going to pay before they contact us.

We manufacture traditional pig arks, solidly built.  They have a galvanized metal roof with reinforced polymer ends front and back. The polymer ends are unique to The Traditional Pig Ark Company, they are rot proof and hygienic, they put our arks ahead of the field. All our arks have a ¾" thick plank floor to keep the occupants nice and dry and off the ground; this also reduces straw usage.   For long life all timber used is pressure treated.  The construction of our arks includes lifting hooks and skids for easy movement.

As well as being ideal for outdoor pig rearing the arks are also suitable for a range of creatures: sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs etc etc.

Tests show that galvanized metal roofed arks allow the pigs to stay comfortable in hot weather, due to the reflective nature of the metal outside and the large floor area keeping the inside of the ark cool. Plenty of straw when the weather gets colder ensures the pigs stay warm and cosy.

Our arks are delivered on our own transport, with onboard lifting crane. The crane enables us to offload easily and also place an ark over a hedge or fence if required.

The arks are ready for immediate occupation - you just supply the straw and the pigs!

We only supply arks. We like to concentrate on giving our customers a personal service with an excellent product. We are glad to talk to prospective customers about pigs, giving advice if needed and trying to help with any concerns they might have.

We are pleased to supply arks to the River Cottage HQ, as well as many farm parks, city farms, agricultural colleges, animal sanctuaries, HM Prisons and proud owners of all breeds of pigs. We have numerous repeat orders and referrals from delighted customers.

River Cottage are filming a new series, to be shown on Wednesday 28 May at 9 pm on Channel 4. We delivered an ark to a location in Bristol where filming is taking place.

We believe our product is the best and most competitive on the market.
We are probably the largest supplier of pig arks to the smallholder.
Our purchasing power of materials enables us to keep our prices low.
